Known for its line of trademark leather handbags, luxury ready-to-wear powerhouse Gerard Darel was founded in 1971. It made a name for itself with its effortless, simple and chic approach to fashion, embodying French elegance for over 50 years. To usher in this new era of e-commerce, the company decided to reinvent its digital presence entirely from store website to marketplace, and sought no other partner than Lectra.

The brand was using other marketplace integrators from France and Germany previously, but was looking for a solution with a wider functional scope to manage its marketplace distribution from A-Z. It required a greater IT infrastructure, to implement more product data processing and improve its order management capabilities. As the brand was to control its own stock for direct distribution to consumers, as opposed to the traditional wholesale model, it needed better real-time visibility of its inventory.

They have also gained significantly more visibility to keep track of their products across all marketplaces.
